Amplify 2015

Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.           -Psalm 34:3

This weekend was definitely one of the best I've had in a while. I was able to go to Amplify Fest 2015. Amplify is a really awesome Christian music festival in Arkansas with performers from all around the world! The best part... It's FREE!

Friday after school my friend Mikayla and I took off on our very first road trip to Amplify! The drive over went really well considering this is a place we don't go very often. The entire ride consisted of listening to all the songs that would be played at Amplify, belting out the lyrics, and bouncing with excitement.

When we got to Amplify Friday night it was packed! There were SO many people all there for one reason... to worship God! The first performer we saw was Colton Dixon. I found out that night that I'm pretty much in love with Colton Dixon! Not only was he super cool and pretty cute, but his performance was incredible! I loved watching him perform because all he did was worship! He never really acted like he was performing for a crowd of thousands. It was like it was just him and God up there. All of his focus was directed to God and watching him worship up on stage like that just gave me chills! I really love his music too! My favorite song of his is Through it all and if you haven't heard it you definitely need to check it out!

Later that night it was time for For King and Country to perform and let me just tell you, they are aaaamaaaazzziiing!! I really had no idea what to expect with them, all I knew was that I really liked their music. Boy did they put on a show! First of all we were about three feet away from the stage which was awesome! Each of the seven members of For King and Country played numerous different instruments and not just your average drum set and guitar, but different things like the timpani, trombone, baritone, chimes, and so much more! The music was so awesome and they were so entertaining to watch!

Friday night we stayed with my cousin Ashlan who we hadn't seen in forever and we had a great time hanging out together!

Saturday we got to Amplify pretty early so we could see all of the performers! Throughout the day we watched Alex Edmonds, Dan Bremnes, Unspoken, and Plumb. They were all so good!

The last artists to go on were Matt Maher and Tenth Avenue North. Both of those performances were so incredible! I can't even begin to describe how awesome they were! At one point I was able to look up at the big screen and see the whole crowd lifting there hands up to God. As you can see from the picture it was an awesome moment. Everyone at Amplify was there for the same reason... to worship God! It was such an amazing thing to be with so many other people that love God so much! Gods presence was definitely at Amplify 2015 and there is no denying that!

All in all, Amplify was AMAZING to say the least and I can not wait until next year!

The picture above is not from Amplify but I though I would share it with you guys because I love it so much! I know this feeling so well and being able to live in a place where I am able to freely worship God is probably the best feeling in the entire world. One of my favorite songs is Solid Ground by The Museum which says at one point, Every time I lift my hands, You're reaching for me. Isn't that an awesome thought?! I am so unbelievably thankful that I serve a God that loves me so much and deserves to be worshiped!
