Being A Christian Role Model

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

Growing up I always had a role model, whether it was the cool Senior girl in the youth group or my youth pastors wife, I always had someone I was watching. Someone I wanted to be just like. I watched everything they did. I admired their love for Christ and wanted to be exactly like that when I "grew up".

Living Unashamed

As a Christian you are going to be different than everyone else. In todays society, not swearing is stupid, refusing to go to parties or get drunk is boring, and waiting to have sex till marriage is ridiculous. As a teenager in todays society I find that being the outcast in a lot of situations can be very challenging. It’s hard to choose not to participate in something that all of your friends are doing, even if it’s something that doesn’t bring glory to God. The reason for this being that it is simply human nature to want to fit in.

Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone

It’s very easy to get comfortable in where you’re at in your walk with Christ. In fact once you are in that comfortable daily routine as a Christian, it’s hard to want to break free, and sometimes we see no need to do anything differently. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s totally awesome that you read your bible every day and that you pray every night before bed, but once that becomes a routine that you feel safe and comfortable doing your faith isn't growing any stronger than it was yesterday, or last week, or even a year ago. If all you are doing is the exact same thing that you have been doing since you first accepted Christ into your life, you are still like a child in your walk with God. Just like a child is constantly exploring new things and learning and growing through experiences, you must reach out and do something new in order to grow your faith.

My Testimony

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.     1 Peter 2:24

Welcome to my Blog!

Hi I’m Hannah, welcome to my blog! For my very first blog post I’ve decided to tell you a little bit about myself and why I’ve started this blog.

My name is Hannah Roebuck. I’m 17 years old. I was born November 28, 1997. I live in a small town in the middle of Arkansas that nobody has ever heard of. I have a three year old brother named Tripp who really tests my patience. I’m a cheerleader. I’m the editor of my schools yearbook. My favorite color is Maroon. I’m 5’6. My favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11. But most importantly, I am a daughter of the King.
